Maori Television: Housing crisis in Porirua worsening
Shocking figures released by Housing NZ show that 173 families are waiting for homes, and with 123 homes out for repairs, that leaves eight vacant houses to be distributed amongst the most needy.
The Porirua Whānau Centre’s Liz Kelly speaks out on Maori Television saying houses are scarce and many are overcrowded. The need for state homes far outweighs supply. See the video and read more.
